jan walters' consulting services offers a wide array of services based on the knowledge and experience that comes from several decades in public policy and agriculture/farmers markets. the primary mission of our company is to expand snap and wic access at farmers markets. ms. walters retired as the iowa ebt director in april 2010 to open this company. while with the state, ms. walters developed and implemented the ebt wireless project in 2005. this project continues today and continues to increase snap ebt sales each year at farmers markets. services offered include: farmer recruitment for snap program, training farmers or markets on the use of wireless technology, market monitoring to ensure federal & state regulations are followed, develop a implementation plan for your project, and create a monthly newsletter to share with your farmers and markets. in january 2011, we rolled out a new service: signage for farmers and farmers markets.
